Hello, my name is Emily Mae Widrick.  I am a third generation silversmith after my grandparents, Pat and Butch Bramhall, who have been working with silver for over 30 years and my aunt, Lisa Nortz, who has been crafting her own designs since she was a child. I have worked with silver for over 7 years and have recently decided to start my own business as a jeweler working with sterling silver and I absolutely love what I do.

I was born and raised in Upstate New York. I grew up on a dairy farm, attended Carthage High and went on to college at Rutgers University with a full lacrosse scholarship earning my degree in psychology. After I graduated I still wasn't sure what I wanted to do. I worked on a psychiatric unit for awhile and enjoyed it but knew that it wasn't for me. I have always loved making jewelry and doing it for a living has always been in the back of my head, so I decided to give it a try. As soon as I made the decision to start my own business, everything fell perfectly into place and I knew it was meant to be. I have to thank my whole family for their support and knowlege they have given me, especially my mother, Tammy who stands behind me in every decision I make. 

What I Do

I handcraft silver jewelry for men, women and children. Right now I work with sterling and pure silver. My creations start as a sheet or reel of silver and from there I saw, hammer, file, solder, reticulate, drill, shape, pickle and tumble it into jewelry. For the most part everything I create can be made with any gauge , can have any combination of patterns from other pieces, and can be made longer or shorter to individualize each and every piece.  And if you see something you like and you want a little something added to make your jewelry personal, I do custom orders.
