Oxidized Flower Necklace

 

This chain measure 20 inches long and is oxidized to accent the detail in the flowers. The larger flower in the middle is 1 1/2 inches across and the two smaller ones are both an inch across. All three have an amethyst in the middle. (My grandfather taught me how to make this type of flower and iit has become one of my favorite designs to work with)

Crazy Copper

 

 

I bent 14ga pieces of copper around in funky ways and made the two sides symetrical then I wrapped that with a smaller gauge of copper to add even more character to this necklace. Meant to lay just below the collar bone. 19 inches long.

Grass Snake

 

My inspirationg on this necklace was a grass snake in the lawn. I alternated sterling and copper. The middle snake twist is the largest and the hearviest. I put smaller hammer marks along the top of each twist to add to the shine and texture. 19 1/2 inches long, goes perfect with a v-neck and has wieght to it.

Meditation

 

This is my absolute favorite piece I have ever made. The pendant stands just over 4 inches high and slides very smothly along with chain. Despite the length, it is light, expecially the branches which are meant to move slightly. I put straight hammer marks going down the tree to resemble bark and oxidized it. It is a garnet sitting just above the roots, the January birthstone.  The tree hangs on a long chain, this one measure 39 inches and is perfect.

Spiral Statement

 

This collar covers a very large area, the sterling bar across the top helps this piece keep its shape. At the top it measures just over 6 1/2 inches across. Each sprial is soldered and filed down for smothness, then hooked together with jump rings to allow movement. It is hooked in the back with a lobster claps and a single sprial hangs down creating a classy look from the back. This is a statement piece that you match your outfit to. 18 inches long.

Simply Large Love

 

The middle heart is over 3 inches in height, the total length across the three hearts is 5 1/2 inches. The chain is flat on the backside and looks like two barrels on the top. The twists were made with half round sterling and twisted tight to make them very smooth on the neck. 18 inches long.

Wholey Adaption

 

Dress it up or dress it down, this necklace is simple and adaptable. Each ring is over 1 1/2 inches in diameter, the total length is 18 inches.

A Friendly Decade Ago

 

Lacrosse and friends were my love in high school. I made six of these lacrosse sticks with my grandmother when I was 16. I gave four of them to my friends and people they would have sentimental meaning to and kept one for me. This is the sixth one. The middle of the head is woven together similar to how my lacrosse stick was strung then. Just the weave in the middle on my first stick took me 6 hours. The chain is 24 inches.

My Other Half

 

This is a cool egyptian style necklace that moves. Originally I made it so the coils went the whole way around the neck but after wearing it, I found that my hair was getting caught in them. I cut it in half and put a simple twisted link chain on the back half to avoid taking away from the beauty of this pattern that is centuries old. 20 inches.

Twisted Cover

 

I used 12ga copper to make the main shape of this necklace then wrapped it with sterling only leaving small sections of the copper to show. My fingers did not work properly for a few days after making it. This is a heavy necklace, measures 20 inches.

Simple but complex. The circles are 1/2 in diameter and I used 18ga sterling for the byzantine. 18 1/2 inches.
